“A Seat in the Garden” opened May 1 at the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, a gem on the mid-coast that rivals any garden or arboretum in New England!

The Maine Coastal Botanical Garden in Boothbay has invited Steve to create a bench for their bench show, “A Seat in the Garden.” The show runs from May 1 until July 4, 2010.

You’ll enjoy taking a turn on each of the benches in this exhibit of seating in a variety of materials and styles by New England artisans. All the pieces will be for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Gardens.

2010 brings a frame and mirror that Steve worked on during Christmas vacation. Here it is in the workshop. Better photographs coming soon but these will whet your appetite to see the finished product hanging in your entry hall or Great Room!

It was a beautiful Christmas Day in Kennebunkport! New posts include photos of new frames, a lamp, and shots of the occasional table in use. The frames and lamp are not for sale because they were thoughtful gifts for Ann and the kids, but they are illustrative of what Steve can create for you – something unique, well-crafted and custom!
